Optional Journal Subscriptions and Membership Renewal

Hello SFRA Members!

Although the time for renewing memberships is a few months away (September), I wanted to send out a note now so everyone knows what is going on with renewal on the new SFRA website. Currently, you may join or renew via the ‘Join SFRA’ tab on the website. This will work fine for anyone looking for straight-forward membership to the SFRA (including all of the normal perks, SFRA Review, Science Fiction Studies, Extrapolation, etc.) and it will automatically update your web-status to ‘Member’ on the website, BUT if you want to take advantage of our partner journals you will need to renew by snail mail.

If you were not already aware, as a member of the SFRA you can also subscribe to Foundation, The New York Review of Science Fiction, FEMSPEC, Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts, and Locus at a reduced rate. To join or renew with a subscription to any of these journals, download the paper form under the ‘Membership’ tab. The price for each subscription can be found on the paper form as well.
